ATL Energy Off Grid 1kW-10kW
Working of Off-Grid Solar Power Plant

Off-Grid a battery based Solar Power Plant will supply electricity from Solar Panels. In the day time solar will run the connected load and balance energy storage in the form of a battery bank through Solar Inverter to provides a buffer and control flexibility to allow optimum use of the renewable energy source without jeopardizing the robustness and quality of power delivered to the customer. The system controller will monitor and measure how much energy is being produced by the solar array, it has the ability to harvest the maximum possible energy. In the event of large availability of solar power and less load, it will be possible to store the energy in the battery and to cater the load simultaneously. The battery bank will allow excess solar energy to be stored and used later on when required. In effect the battery bank will provide flexibility and supply.

If you are facing power-cut problem or don’t have a reliable grid and also want to reduce your electricity bill, then Off-Grid Solar Power Plant is recommended to you. If you want to reduce your electricity bill only, the you should go with On-Grid System. Off-Grid System is completely different from On-Grid System. See the On-Grid and Hybrid Systems here.

Advantage and Disadvantage of On-Grid Systems:
Advantage:

1. Solar with grid connection with Net metering benefits.

2. Govt. Subsidies are available 30% to 70%.

3. Utilise the 100% power and supply to Govt. if solar power is not in use.

4. This Solar system will reduce power and diesel consumption. This is the most common type of system for larger power consumers.

5. On-Grid Solar system fully utilises the solar in first priority and then remaining power take from the grid.

6. An on-Grid solar power system becomes the most viable. It saves on both electricity cost and diesel bills.

7. This system is just connected to the meter and becomes a seamless part of the grid.

8. This is the most economically viable system where battery bank is not required.

9. Savings from the system lead to a payback period of up to 5 years. After that, you get free power for more than 20 years.

10. When the power goes off, you will still need to run the generator but your fuel consumption will be lower.

Disadvantage

1. This the Grid-Tie system and it will work with grid only. System will not run if the grid is down and the diesel generator is also not running.

2. There is no power backup or battery bank in this system.
